Addressing a joint press conference here on Friday, Mir Hamadan Bugti, Ghulam Qadir Massori Bugti, Mir Ali Ahmed Bijarani Marri and Mir Mohabbat Marri hailed the government's action to purge outlaws and miscreants from these areas.
Mir Hamadan exposed atrocities of Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti against the people of his clan and said he along with his people, including women and children, was expelled from Dera Bugti in 1993 on the charge of launching massive development projects in the area. After expelling us from the area, Nawab Bugti occupied our land, houses and all resources, he said.
Since then we are living under open sky in Dera Ghazi Khan and Multan and are deprived of all kinds of facilities, he said.
Notable tribal leader and ex-minister Mir Mohabbat Marri held Russia and India responsible for sponsoring terrorism in Kohlu.
He said Nawab Khair Baksh Marri does not have resources to run a terrorist network in the area.
He said majority of Marri people support President General Pervez Musharraf's policies aimed at bringing Balochistan at par with rest of the country.
He termed rocket firing during the President's visit to the area against tribal norms and values.
Mir Ghulam Qadir Massori said Dera Bugti has become abode of outlaws and anti-state elements. Nawab Bugti uses these outlaws to perpetrate anti-state activities.
"I was kept in the private prison of Akbar Bugti for a long period, as I demanded him to establish schools and colleges in the area for our young generation," he said. Instead of conceding my demand, Nawab Bugti put me in his torture cell and grabbed my land and all assets. Besides, my family was forced to move from the area mercilessly.
"Over 3000 of my tribal members are living in deplorable state under open sky in Multan and Dera Ghazi Khan," he said.
He demanded of the government to stop paying Sui gas royalty to Nawab Akbar Bugti and launch strict action against him if the government wants to end anti-state activities. He also alleged Nawab Bugti for killing his five tribesmen in torture cell.
On the occasion, Mir Ali Ahmed Bijarani said Kohlu area was giving a picture of war-torn area for the last four years. Terrorists were free to damage the government property and take lives of innocent people of the area. However, the government led by Pervez Musharraf has taken the action against miscreants leaving aside political pressure of nationalist parties of he country.
